Musical project Lucian Nagy & Balkumba Tribe, the perfect cultural, musical and ethnicities fusion, that creates a unique balance between musicians and the audience.
The idea of the name “Balkumba Tribe” came from Lucian Nagy after many years of studying the “World Music” sphere and soon ideas from the Balkan and Indo-African music were combined together. Also, influences from “Jazz” and “Afro-Latin” are present because each member of the band comes from a different parts of the world, where they studied with maestros of these vast genres.
Each member of the “Tribe” manifests the region they come from in a natural way, leaving a great musical and cultural print.
Mixing up the musical ingredients brought by Johann Berby from the Afro-Indian sphere and ethnic influences – with Jazz from Ivan Aleksjievic & Lucian Nagy, we can say that the whole conceptual spectrum of the Tribe has a fresh and original feeling. To all these, we add of course Csabi Pusztai who give that unique “groove” by combining the Afro-Indian rhythms with Middle-East & Jazz.
